this piece really surrealises me. close up: wires, metal and mountains
far away: profile of beautiful blonde.

Order out of chaos? Chaos out of order? Or is it just an infinite chain?

Different than your usual drawings, because it has a more earthy, textural feel. Not so space-age but more like a microscopic view of hair strands. The background even reminds me of wheat.

Ward: Funny that you mention that! It is actually a surreal portrait of Kyra!

    Just kidding . . .it’s not really Kyra’s portrait!

Doc M: Cool! I was hoping someone might see it as something resembling DNA strands, but alas, no one seems to see that except for me.

Kyra: Sounds like a deeper interpretation than I had originally planned on — but I dig it, mucho.

Melissa: Interesting. The background is actually based upon the swirling eddies of the molten surface of stars.

Kind of like a DNA helix, unravelling at one end.

I swear I did not read the other comments before I mentioned the DNA thing…you know i have that scientist at home, and he is waiting for you to design a DNA tattoo for him.

Oh man, I always forget about that! Tell your ’scientist at home’ to contact me (or simply remind me) next May — I’ll have some free time after I graduate!
