They never admitted it, but I think it had to do with the slightly 'occultish' slant of his science. And, according to the ACTUAL facts (not rumor), the corpses used by Dr. Abdullah-Al-Kafi were all legally obtained from a Cuban supplier. The problem was that he was practicing within the legal borders of the US at the time and due to the embargo on Cuban goods, he was arrested (no longer in jail though).
