Dad: I think once you see all the parts put together it will make a little more sense, at least from a purely visual standpoint. The -1/2 spin relates to subatomic particles and their spins. Some have positive one-half spins, some have negative, some have whole 1 spin — its really weird, highly unfathomable, but really cool!
Ward: I like that: ‘a mass of muscle bound muscles all bound up!’ Very poetic and fits nicely into my usual attempts at expressing the infinite!
